Karios Youth Group Kairos comes to us from an ancient Greek word for time that refers to “the appointed time” or “God’s timing, the time when God acts” in contract to the Greek word chronos, denoting chronological or sequential time. Kairos Youth Ministry is open to all middle-school youth (6-8 grades), with the goals of developing important aspects of Christian faith and life. Through building a strong ministry team of youth and advisors who find joy in Christian ministry for, by, and with your, Kairos aims to help middle school-aged youth to be: · Focused on following our Lord Jesus Christ and living our Christian values in all areas of life. · Devoted to studying to Bible and practicing what it means to follow Jesus Christ in our whole life, from our families ¾ including church family, with friends, in school, with hobbies, at work, and in leisure. · Being led by the love of God, the Word of God, the Holy Spirit, and our confessions in important decisions. · Sharing the love of God with each other, NSPC, the larger church, our community, and the world, as part of the church’s mission. · Exploring and shaping our God–given gifts through devotions, prayers, activities and mission as part of our local and denomination’s Presbyterian Youth and other programs.
